F1 VISA
US Student Visa This type of visa is for foreigners who enter the USA for study purposes. Applicant must be priorly accepted to school or academy in the USA. Usually, F1 is issued for 1 year but can be also issued till the date of the end of the study indicated in the I-20 form. The school must be on the SEVIS list and must be authorized (accredited) to issue the I-20 form for international students. The student visa F1 can be issued before the study date and the F1 holder is allowed to enter the USA 30 days prior to start date of study. Schools or academies in the USA must not be the online type of school. For online study, the student does not need to be physically present in the USA and in such a case this can be an issue and reason for visa denial at the USA Consulate department. The consular officer sees no reason to issue a visa for a student who can study online at the computer desk at home. Even if the visa is issued at the Consulate, a border officer can deny entry for an I-20 online school holder. It is important to note that a hockey school or academy cannot issue an official I-20 form unless this is a school that unites on its premises both high school, hockey, and sports facilities. In cases when hockey school and high school are separated, a high school is issuing the I-20 form for a student in order to apply for a visa. It means that during the Consulate interview, an applicant must reply to the Consul and keep in mind that the main purpose of a trip to the USA is to study in high school. In case of a student’s absence for more than 5 months, it is necessary to apply for a new visa and obtain a sticker through the USA Consulate Department again. Those students who are not leaving the USA territory during their summer break and wish to change school of study must obtain a release from the old school be accepted to the new school and obtain a new I-20 form. We usually transfer the I-901 payment in the amount of 350 USD to the new SEVIS school number in order to avoid the client’s extra expenses. We are also getting in contact with the new school for a faster transition process. Students Who are Doing the Transfer on the Territory of the USA and not Leaving the USA. The F1 status of the student can be lost if the student is leaving the US for more than 5 months. Before leaving school, a student must notify the school’s admissions department and needs to specify if the absence is connected with the school activity and fill out appropriate school forms. If a student is trying to enter the USA after 5 months of absence, the border control officer can reject entry for the reason of the expiration student’s status. The border control officer can also cancel the student visa and recall the student’s admission to the school. As per the clients’ request, we can help you find any school in the USA and schedule the USA visa Consulate interview in any country (any Consulate department location).
